Why two days change the quality of the trip
Suzhou and Zhouzhuang represent different ways of reading Jiangnan. Suzhou’s classical gardens are deliberately composed environments. Zhouzhuang is understood through waterways, bridges and settlement patterns. Giving each its own day allows the guide to explain those differences instead of treating both as decorative backdrops.
The overnight also removes one return to Shanghai. That creates more usable time and lets the second morning begin closer to the water town, depending on the final hotel and transport plan.
